Rumoured a time ago like Treo 850, Palm today officially introduced its newest smartphone, the Treo Pro. This new business smartphone running on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional combines simplicity and productivity in an elegant design. Treo Pro is equipped with Wi-Fi and GPS enabling to help you everywhere you are.
QWERTY keyboard provides a great messaging solutions as well as browsing in Internet Explorer Mobile, writing documents or making presentations. The Pro features Qualcomm?s MSM7201 400MHz CPU, TFT flush touchscreen with 320?320 resolution, Bluetooth 2.0, a 2.0 megapixel camera with 8x digital zoom and video capture, microUSB 2.0 port.
The Palm Treo Pro comes with 1500mAh lithium-ion battery which provides up to 5.0 hours of talk time and up to 250 hours of standby time. It measures 4.49 x 2.36 x 0.53 inches and weighs 4.69 oz. It works in HSDPA/UMTS/EDGE/GPRS/GSM, Tri-band UMTS 850/1900/2100MHz and Quad-band GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz.
Palm?s Treo Pro will be first available coming September in Europe for Vodafone customers (from free to EUR 399 with contract) and O2 (pricing is available from O2 direct sales and online business stores), and in Australia through Telstra (from free with contract). U.S. customers will get an unlocked version without subsidies for price of $549. Users in Asia Pacific contries will be also able to buy this device.
